Combined fabrication for small and large formats in small and large series

Today we transform sheet metal, in small and large series, through combined processing such as 2D/3D sheet/tube laser cutting, CNC spinning, press bending and roll bending.

We assemble complex parts using manual welding and 3D laser welding, as well as various types of mechanical joints.

The appropriate finish for each material.

We work with iron, stainless steel and alloy steel, aluminum, copper, brass, titanium alloys and special alloys. At trusted external suppliers, we carry out cleaning, painting, zinc coating and galvanic treatments.

All-round accuracy

Our production has always been active in a lot of different industries: we fabricate design objects for home furnishings, street lighting and street furniture, components for industrial technical areas, even reaching products like eyewear, where details are essential.

Custom molds and technical support.

We make molds for production, assisting the customer in developing its own product. Our technicians provide support in designing the parts, considering materials and production techniques.

History

1960s: A LITTLE METAL SPINNING WORKSHOP IS BORN

Our professional journey began in the '60s, experiencing metal spinning and flow-forming techniques: real arts in sheet metal forming, still requiring the expert caraftman's hand for quality results.

1980s-90s: FROM A SMALL WORKSHOP TO AN ACTUAL COMPANY.

The small workshop with manual spinning lathes is equipped with newer and newer machinery. In the '90s some semi-automatic lathes are added, litterally “giving a spin” to the activity, transforming the small workshop into a larger business.

2000: GIOTTO CHANGES HANDS

In 2000 the ownership passes to the new generation and the company becomes "Giotto Fratelli". The exixting manual and semi-automatic lathes are combined with newer CNC spinning lathes and special ones with teach-and-playback system.

2004: GIOTTO FRATELLI WIDENS TO 1,200 SQM

Another big step is the transition to the first proper industrial space, when the company moves into a 1,200 square meter building.

2006: THE BEGINNING OF LASER CUTTING

In 2006 the first flatbed (2D) laser cutting machine arrives to Giotto Fratelli, soon followed by two CNC press-bending machines, the first ones as well.

2010: LARGER AND LARGER, 3,000 SQM

The company grows fast. In 2010 the new space is tight already: Giotto Fratelli expands again, this time to 3,000 square meters. A welding department is equipped and a second 2D laser cutting system is installed.

2012: SPINNING OF MEDIUM-LARGE FORMATS BEGINS

The demand for spin formed parts increases both in quantity and size: a Nova Sidera "Vega" lathe for medium-large sizes - capable of spinning discs up to 2 meters - is added to the company machine fleet.

2015: EVEN MORE SPACE!

The business runs, and the existing industrial area increases to 4,000 square meters with the purchase of an adjacent shed. The welding department gets bigger and better equipped.

2017: THE BIG MOVE, TO 10,000 SQM

At Giotto Fratelli the time is ripe to take the leap: the company moves to a new, much larger space of 10,000 square meters.

2018: VERY LARGE SIZE SPINNING AND 3D TECHNOLOGIES

The great leap of 2017 permits to Giotto Fratelli to install a special, custom lathe, for spinning diameters up to 5 meters, together with a brand new three-dimensional (3D)laser cutting and welding system, a TRUMPF TruLaser Cell 7040.
